We docked in Fort Lauderdale around 7:00AM. One of four ships in the harbor today. The disembarkation process is amazing. Since we were not going directly to the airport, we were in the last group. We were called to get off at 9:15, right on schedule. So we were able to enjoy one last breakfast in the Lido.
Believe it not, this ship would be heading back out with a new group in just a few hours!
When we exited the terminal we were met by a private car who would take us to the Renaissance Hotel. Not sure we expected that kind of service! Holland America made all the arrangements. We learned we'd also have a private car to the airport in the morning.
We had to hang out in the hotel until mid afternoon when our room was ready. We had a pretty good lunch in the hotel dining restaurant.
We took an Uber over to the Broward Mall, not far away, and saw John Wick. Then dinner at a Mexican place next door.
We have to be ready to leave for the airport at 5:00AM.😖 We should be home by 1:30 local time.
