Our cruise is coming to an end! Eleven days seems like just the right length. Even though its our last day, they're still keeping us busy. We got our "disembarkation orders" and spent some time this afternoon packing. We have to be off the boat by 9:30. If everything goes by the plan, we'll be met by a ride to the hotel. We're staying a "post night" because the flight out tomorrow would be too early for us to make it.
This morning I successfully completed the 5k walk - 9 laps around the deck! My knee performed perfectly! Apparently, HAL does this on all their cruises to support the HAL Foundation. This year its dedicated to Ukrainian Refugees.
This morning's program was called "City at Sea". A fascinating description of all the things that it takes to run a cruise ship - navigation, maintenance, propulsion, the kitchens, and on and on. There's even a tailor shop on board! We have about 800 crew members taking care of our every need.
A program this afternoon was about surfing......and odd topic but very interesting!
Our final evening program was that crazy illusionist we saw earlier in the week. He is amazing!
